Notices for SEPTEMBER 2019

The September Appeal is for the Legal Centre Lesbos, which consists of a team of lawyers, law graduates and interpreters from across the world who show solidarity with the refugees of Lesbos and Europe through their legal work.

Coffee & Company Please support these weekly Wednesday coffee mornings as and when you can. Intended for our wider community, they are open to friends, family and anyone in the neighbourhood. Will you spread the word?

Quiet Morning on Friday 13th will be led by Linda Elliott on the theme of Roots. Lunch will be provided and donations invited towards its cost. This event occurs monthly on the second Friday.

Apple Day and Open Garden, Sunday 22nd. (NOTE. Apple Day was originally planned for 13th October.) This is when we pick our apples. Friends planning to stay are advised to bring their own lunch. Tea, cake and scones will be available from 2 pm to 4 pm, as usual on an Open Day. Our visitors will be offered apples to take home. Please advertise this wherever you can and let Daphne know if you can bring any cakes or scones.

Shared Lunch Sunday 29th.  We have been invited by our AMA Muslim friends to hold another meal and social occasion - a more informal event this time, for which details are still under discussion. The basic idea is that we have a bring-and-share lunch and the chance for conversation, rather than a served meal and speeches as last time.
